The first day of the Olympiad Diary
Today children and their team leaders checked in the campus of Sirius Educational Centre. For the third time, the opening ceremony was held in the Presidential Lyceum „Sirius“ in the evening.
This final stage is special, because of the participation of foreign delegations. Sirius Educational Centre organizes not only the final stage, but the International Olympiad in Mathematics, as well. Contestants from China and Thailand are going to take part in it distantly and the Iran delegation has already arrived at the federal territory. They told us about their first impression and plans for the coming week:

We're members of the Iran National Olympiad team and it's our first time here, in Russia. We were really impressed by Moscow, especially its old buildings and the architecture. As for the "Sirius", we were surprised of how well-developed this educational system is. We’re going to show great results in the Olympiad, learn something new and just enjoy our time here, see beautiful places and so on.
