The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren has been held since 1961, and the Mathematics round is traditionally considered the most popular of all the 24 subjects. To become a participant of the final stage, pupils should have passed through the school, municipal and regional stages. Although more than 2 million people had taken part in the school stage, only 450 best participants from the regions were selected for the final one. Over the years, outstanding mathematicians of modern times had become winners of the final stage in mathematics, including one of the founders of the “Sirius Education Centre”, the Fields medalist, – Stanislav Smirnov.

The XLIX final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in mathematics will take place in the Federal Territory “Sirius” from 21 to 27 April 2023 in two competitive rounds. In each round participants will be asked to solve 4 tasks within 5 hours.

At the same time the International Mathematics Olympiad based on the tasks of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in mathematics will take place. Prize-winners and winners will be awarded according to the results of the Olympiad.

The jury comprised of leading Russian experts in their subjects and headed by Nazar Agakhanov, will check the Olympiad assignments. According to the results of the final stage, the national team of the Russian Federation will be formed, which is traditionally one of the best at the International Olympiads.

Except the participation in the Olympiad, the cultural program will be organized for finalists, which will enable them to find out how the unique infrastructure for the 2014 Winter Olympics is used to develop Russian education and science nowadays. The program also includes meetings with partner companies, excursions, workshops, seminars with experts and exchange of experience between representatives of foreign and Russian delegations.
